Far Away
Dedicated to Erica McCormick

A warm wind blows,
And softly hums,
A sweet tune,
As it carries you away from here.
I’m left in the dust,
As you’re carried,
Far from here.
You fly left,
You fly right,
You fly away.
The wind carries you,
On and on and,
Far far away.
The clouds roll in,
And calmly cries.
Its sorrow can be heard,
For miles on end.
Thunder roars,
And its sorrow is known.
The little bird,
Is now out of sight.
I whisper,
Goodbye Eri.

Face in the Fire
In loving memory of my cousin Bobby

As I sit by the fire,
I stare into its bright red glow,
And see your face.

It is as if you are here,
Sitting by my side,
Grinning ear to ear,
Ready to put a smile on my face.

It all seems so real,
To real to be true.
And as the fire dies down,
Your face slowly fades away.

When the fire is gone,
And nothing is left but ashes,
I come back to reality,
And hold on tight,
To my only memory.

I’ll be missing you Bobby,
I’ll miss your smile,
And I’ll miss your humor.

I remember sitting with you,
Across the dinner table,
While staying at your house.

I miss seeing,
Your bright shinning smile,
As I walked into your room.

As the days go by,
No one will know,
How much I’ll be missing you.

And no one knows,
The good times we shared,
And how much I’ll miss seeing you.
